Weather Watchers

It is known that my family has produced a line of wheather watchers. And last week as the hurricane moved into Texas we watched together. It began when we were children. My mom would pull us out of school at the slightest cloud in the sky. And before you knew it we were hovering in the neighbors storm cellar. I often tell people that when you walk in to Matt's house growing up you would find CNBC or FOX playing in the background, but if you walked into mine, it would be the weather channel. Not much has changed over the years other than this tradition, or maybe I should say fear, has been passed down to Lindsey and Natalie. At any time you could call either of them up and find out about the conditions. I never have to worry about the storms rolling in...there is always someone doing that for me...and they certainly call to share that information.

As an example, I would like to post my sister's e-mail to a recent happy hour....
Ok people here is what we are gonna do...i don't want any complaining about anything from anybody.
we are gonna meet at 5:30 to go run at spring creek and custer 5-6 miles...if you can't do that it is ok... run/walk what you can...then at approximately 6:30pm central time 4:30 mountain time/pacific time, and 7:30 eastern time. we will meet at buffalo wild wings to eat, drink, and be merry. it is located at 75 and Spring creek. and yes katy they have more than wings.
If you are debating wether or not to run with us let me help you decide....the meteorologist are predicting a hurricane on friday in south texas somewhere between houston and brownsville which you can probably get up and run sat morning then sat and sunday tropical storm ike will head north and be in dallas....which means it will probably rain which = no running. that is what is.. i'm just trying to think ahead. so let me know if you plan on attending either one or both so that we can wait for the runners and save seats for the drinkers.
thanks and good nite,
nat
